Robust Beamforming for Enhancing Security in Multibeam Satellite Systems

This letter proposes a robust beamforming (BF) scheme to enhance physical layer security (PLS) of the downlink multibeam satellite system in presence either uncoordinated or coordinated eavesdroppers (Eves). Specifically, with knowing only approximate locations Eves, we aim at maximizing worst-case achievable secrecy rate (ASR) legitimate user (LU), subject constraints per-antenna transmit power and quality service (QoS) requirement LU. Since optimization problem is non-convex, first adopt discretization method deal unknown regions Eves then exploit log-sum-exp function objective function. Afterwards, BF joint alternating direction multipliers (ADMM) Dinkelbach iteration presented solve this non-convex problem. Finally, simulation results verify that our algorithm can effectively improve systems.
